Chair – Maxwell Seeland  is a professional fundraiser with over fifteen years experience in non-profit and education philanthropic advisement. He has represented public and private educational institutions of a variety of sizes, and currently serves as the Director of Major Gifts for the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Vermont Foundation. He holds his Bachelor’s degree from UVM where his focus was sociology and psychology.

Treasurer – Bill Cavanaugh, is a farm business advisor at The Northeast Organic Farming Association where he supports farmers through Farm Viability Program developing sustainable business plans. Bill is a master butcher and value added food consultant. Bill lives with his family in Granville. 

Chair – Lisa Frost, is the co-founder of VFFS and outdoor educator. Lisa has a variety of experiences in teaching in independent schools, now teaching at Mountain Village Charter School. Lisa has served on the Roxbury-Montpelier public school board. Lisa has M.ED. from Antioch University and lives in Plymouth, NH.

President – Genevieve Larocque, is the founder and director of VFFS’s first sister school, Lamoille Valley Farm and Forest School in Morrisville, VT. Gen brings a unique blend of educational expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and community building passion to the realm of nature-based education. Gen is an energetic leader, educator, and yoga instructor who hales from Montreal, QC. 

Chair – Drew Watson, is a parent of a day school student. Drew has served as the Agriculture Development Specialist at the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets and currently works with the Nature Conservancy. Before that, he lived in North Carolina and received his Masters in Environmental Management in Environmental Policy & Economics from Duke University. He currently resides in Randolph with his wife and two children. In his free time, Drew also serves on the Montessori School of Central Vermont’s Board, and loves to mountain bike, hike, and cook.
