Soil Sustains Us –  School Year Theme

Creative change can be simple, beautiful, and yet deeply complex—much like the soil beneath our feet. In this exploration, we will examine how one person can influence our culture, our community here in Vermont, and our relationship with the natural world. Soil, as both a literal and symbolic foundation, offers a powerful lens through which to understand resilience, regeneration, and connection.

We will dig into how creative change—rooted in care, curiosity, and collaboration—can shape who we are today and who we become tomorrow. How does the power of change bring us together and inspire communities to cultivate, nurture, and grow in sustainable ways? What role does soil play in supporting the Pillars of Sustainability—environmental, social, and economic—and how can we learn from its quiet strength?

Students will make meaningful connections across academic disciplines while learning to be global thinkers and stewards of the earth, starting from the ground up.

Course Descriptions

Homeschool students naturally weave into our full-time class schedule with our full-time students. We arrange our days so that students experience spiral learning where each class connects and builds upon one another, but can also stand alone. The homeschoolers can sign up for Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday and Friday. The class descriptions are the same as our Day School.
