Vermont summer is a time for kids to play, explore, and engage with nature.  From digging in the soil to roaming the farm fields and forest to snacking on snap peas, VFFS summer camp gives kids a natural space to grow and learn.

Based at Drift Farmstead, we cultivate creativity, wonder, and fun alongside the crops and animals.

Full Day: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

We offer a tiered payment system. The concept is to offer a pay what you can model so that you can see the real cost of summer camp at VFFS while receiving support as needed.
If you are in need of partial financial aid (it is limited) please contact Misse.

Tier 1: $425/week – this tier covers the true cost of camp and a “pay it forward”
Tier 2: $400/week – this is the true cost of camp
Tier 3: $350/week – this offers a small amount of financial assistance & sibling discount
Boat Building Camp Session = $650/week 1, regular tiered prices for week 2

Mentor Apprentice 2026

Mentor Apprentices are 15+ years old, have had one or more years of MIT experience at VFFS (or equivalent experience elsewhere), and apply for a stipend apprentice position at VFFS. This role comes with more responsibility than an MIT role. Mentor Apprentices are more capable of leading/co-leading groups of kids, and will be expected to lead (with support) portions of the day throughout the week (examples: story time, a skills workshop, a wild woods wander, a game). There is a limited number of Mentor Apprentice openings during summer camps.

Details: Both MIT and Apprentices join us for a series of community-building workshops and a week of immersion and summer camp preparation! Students will build skills that will last a lifetime and that can be shared with VFFS summer camp. If you are interested in joining as an Apprentice or MIT during summer camp, this program is required.

See MIT page for dates

Are you a camper who loves connecting with nature and the community? Do you want to hone your skills in fire building, nature crafting, shelter building, storytelling, and more?! This week is for YOU!! We will share a camp week together and dive deeper into your own skills. We will also begin to grow leadership skills both individually and as a team. Tuesday-Wednesday we will embark on an overnight backpacking trip in Central Vermont. For the campers returning as Mentor In Training for summer camp, we will spend part of Thursday and Friday preparing for summer camp leadership and setup.

Leadership week includes an adventure overnight. Please see MIT page for more details.
